Curious Homunculus 1U「変身にレスポンスして1マナを出し，変身を解決する」これで2マナを工面する動きには感銘を受けたが，ホムンクルス自身の3/4果敢というサイズをダメージ源として重視していない点に若干の不満が残る．ホムンクルスの攻撃と苦悶の触手を合算するダメージは，呪文詠唱回数Xに大して3X+3であり，多くの場合はX=5で勝利できる．これは容易極まる目標というほかない．

At the beginning of your upkeep, if there are three or more instant and/or sorcery cards in your graveyard, transform Curious Homunculus.

例えば「直観→神秘の教示者or吸血の教示者orデモコン→デモチュー→燃え立つ願い→Tendrils」で勝つことができる．直観と7マナで和了となるわけだ．
